I am amazed by the words that people speak.  The things that some people say are just plain foolish.  I have heard parents speak curses and profane things over their children and think nothing of it.  If they only knew that Life and Death is in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21).  If people realized just how serious of a matter this is they would watch the words that they spoke. 

 

Matthew 12:36 - But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment (KJV).

 

If they only knew that when they spoke that they were judging others and bringing judgment upon themselves.

 

James 4:11 - Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaks evil of his brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law: but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge.
